Tapit Full to GSW Touching Beauty Brings $450,000 at KEESEP

Ron Winchell, whose family campaigned the top young sire Tapit during his race days, went to $450,000 for a son of the Gainesway stallion to lead the early returns Monday at Keeneland September. Selling from the draft of Brookdale Sales, agent for Copper Penny Stables LLC, the colt, catalogued as hip 1942, is a son of Victory Road (Ikari) and is thus a full-brother to this year's GIII Comely S. heroine Touching Beauty, a three-year-old. He is also a full to the stakes-placed four-year-old Noisy Feet. The gray was purchased in utero by Davant Latham, agent, for $75,000 at the 2008 Keeneland November Sale.
