Lucky One (m, 8, Best of Luck–Twilight Spectre, by Imp Society), the dam of five-time Grade I winner and likely three-year-old filly champion Blind Luck (Pollard's Vision), was knocked down to Shadai Farm for $1.85 million at Keeneland November Tuesday afternoon. The eight-year-old mare was consigned by Dr. William and Terry Baker's Fairlawn Farm, who claimed Lucky One for $15,000 in 2005 and were scheduled to breed the mare to Wintergreen stallion Five Star Day. She did not get in foal on three attempts, and it was suggested to the Bakers that they try the mare with another Carson City stallion who'd entered stud at the farm, Pollard's Vision. Lucky One is believed to be carrying a full brother to Blind Luck.
