The four-year-old filly Elusive Wave (Elusive City–Multicolour Wave {Ire}, by Rainbow Quest), winner of last term's G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches, was purchased by Coolmore rep M.V. Magnier for 800,000gns Tuesday at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale. She was consigned by European Sales Management as a horse in training. A half to the stakes-placed Million Waves (Ire), Elusive Wave is a granddaughter of French Group 3 winner Echoes (Fr) (Nininski). Owned by Martin Schwartz and trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, the filly also won this season's G3 Prix Quincey Lucien Barriere at Deauville in August.
