Bernstein Colt Makes $300K at OBSJUN

A Bernstein colt from the immediate family of GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Chief's Crown was hammered down to EQB's Patrice Miller, agent, for $300,000 to lead Tuesday's opening session of the OBS June Sale in Central Florida. The April 6 foal was consigned to the sale by Robert Brewer, who acquired the son of Within (Rahy) for $31,000 at the Fasig-Tipton October Yearling Sale last fall. Catalogued as hip 16, the dark bay worked an eighth of a mile in a stylish :10 flat during the sale's under-tack show last week (click).
