A filly by Sea the Stars (Ire) attracted a final bid of 450,000gns from Shadwell Estate during Friday's third session of the Tattersalls December Foals sale in Newmarket. Out of the unraced Ecoutila (Rahy), the weanling is a half-sister to group winner Surfrider (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) and multiple stakes placed Enticement (GB) (Montjeu {Ire}).
“I thought she was a lovely filly and I have been very impressed with the foals I have seen by the stallion,” Shadwell's Angus Gold said after signing the ticket on the weanling. “We have some lovely homebreds by him, they are outstanding and, having seen his foals, I think he is a fantastically exciting stallion.”
Hugo Lascelles was the underbidder on the youngster.
