A colt by Exceed and Excel (Aus) out of MGSW Wunders Dream (Ire) (Averti {Ire}) established a new record at the DBS Breeze-Up when selling for ﾣ300,000 (US$483,188) to David Redvers. Offered by Tally-Ho Stud, the bay colt had been purchased at this venue in September for just ﾣ43,000. “He's been bought for Qatar Racing, which is Sheikh Fahad and his brothers, including Sheikh Hamad and Sheikh Suhaim, who are responsible for the QIPCO sponsorship,” Redvers told Racing Post. “Everything we have bought this year for them has been for Qatar Racing, including the top lot at Kempton and three at Newmarket. This colt ticked all the boxes, and we hope he turns into a Royal Ascot 2-year-old. They wanted to get involved because they so enjoyed themselves with Frederick Engels last year.”
