Already the dam of major stakes horses by A.P. Indy-line stallions, it seemed only natural for the principals of Woodbridge Bloodstock to send the outstanding producer Moonlight Sonata (Carson City) straight to the source. The operation consigned a daughter from the now-pensioned sire's final crop through Mill Ridge Sales and the results were spectacular, as Mandy Pope signed the winning ticket on a final offer of $1.1 million. Moonlight Sonata had already produced GSW Beethoven, by A.P. Indy's grandson Sky Mesa, and GSW Wilburn, by his son Bernardini.
