A colt by Bernardini got things off to a rousing start Wednesday at Keeneland when selling for $1,550,000 to the bid of Coolmore's Demi O'Byrne. Charlotte Weber was the underbidder on the yearling. Consigned by Valkyre Stud on behalf of his breeder Mr. and Mrs. William Currin, the colt is a half-brother to Grade I winner Stormello (Stormy Atlantic) as well as recent GII Del Mar Derby hero My Best Brother (Stormy Atlantic).
