Maristar Sells for $500K at Keeneland

Multiple graded stakes-placed Maristar (Giant's Causeway–Jewel Princess, by Key to the Mint) established a top price of $500,000 during the opening session of the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale Monday when she was hammered down to Case Clay of Three Chimneys. Property of Gerard Butler Racing, Maristar, a 6-year-old daughter of U.S. champion older mare Jewel Princess, was a three-time winner in England and finished third in the GIII Washington Park H. and GII Chilukki S. She was offered as a racing or broodmare prospect.
