Falling Sky, a newly turned 3-year-old by Lion Heart, caused fireworks during Tuesday's OBS Winter Mixed Sale in Ocala, selling for $425,000 to the bid of bloodstock agent Justin Casse. Casse was acting on behalf of an unnamed client. The colt was a debut winner at Calder in November and was fourth in the Inaugural S. before returning to the winner's circle with a Gulfstream Park optional claimer victory Dec. 15. Falling Sky was consigned by Off the Hook, which purchased the youngster on behalf of Calixto Armas for $16,000 as a weanling at the 2010 Keeneland November sale.
