Marco Botti signed the winning ticket on behalf of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum after going to €520,000 for a Sea the Stars (Ire) colt, already named Salamargo (Ire), to light up the first hour of Arqana's Breeze-Up Sale at Saint-Cloud. Offered by Alban Chevalier du Fau and Jamie Railton's Channel Consignment, the Newmarket-based conditioner saw off competition from Nicolas de Watrigant and Hugo Merry to prevail. The February-foaled bay is out of the dual stakes winner Navajo Moon (Ire) (Danehill), from the family of Poliglote (GB) (Sadler's Wells). He cost €200,000 when passing through the Deauville ring last August.
