Ave's First Foal, a Colt by Deep Impact (Jpn), Sells for ᆬ110 million

The first foal from GI Flower Bowl Invitational Stakes winner Ave (GB) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), a stylish colt by Deep Impact (Jpn), became the fourth son of Japan's leading sire to bring more than ᆬ100 million at the JRHA sale's yearling session on July 8 when Yoichi Aoyama paid ᆬ110 million (about $1,078,432) about midway through the day. The owner of cell phone technology patents, Aoyama said “I fell in love” with the colt when visiting consignor Shadai Farm to inspect saleᅠyearlings last month. The colt's family includes French GIII winner and GI Irish 1000 Guineas runner-up Anna Salai (Dubawi {Ire}), French GIII winner Anna Palariva (Ire) (Caerleon)ᅠand South African GI-placed stakes winner Dubai Gina (Aus) (Dubai Destination).
