Hip 43, a Smart Strike filly, set a new record at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale when she fetched $1.25 million from bloodstock agent Ben McElroy on behalf of an undisclosed existing partnership. Simon Callaghan will train. She is out of SW Crystal Current (A.P. Indy), who is out of GISW Dream Supreme (Seeking the Gold)–a full-sister to Grade I winner Majestic Warrior. The filly was bred by Southern Equine Stables and consigned by Eddie Woods. She breezed in :10 2/5 at the undertack show.
