A winner twice in three starts in France, Citron Spirit entered this test off the back of an eight-length success over seven furlongs at Le Lion d’Angers Aug. 11. Breaking well, the bay was quickly sent to the lead and, still traveling smoothly entering the straight, was never in any danger from the home team. “He is a good horse, but whether he is good enough for Group 1 company we will see,” jockey Antoine Hamelin said.
