Ol’ Man River Could Have Royal Date

OL’ MAN RIVER COULD HAVE ROYAL DATE 
Magnier, Tabor and Smith’s Ol’ Man River (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), currently amongst the favorites for next year’s G1 Investec Derby, could make his second start in the G2 Royal Lodge S. at Newmarket Sept. 27. He also holds an entry in the G2 Tattersall S. there two days earlier. 
“Ol’ Man River is a possible for the Royal Lodge, we’ll know more [Monday],” said trainer Aidan O’Brien. 
Ol’ Man River topped last year’s Goffs Orby Sale, and became the second-highest priced yearling in Irish history, when fetching €2.85 million from M V Magnier. He earned J “TDN Rising Star” J status for his Aug. 31 first-out victory at The Curragh.
