Shared Belief Tunes Up for Awesome Again

Undefeated champion Shared Belief (Candy Ride {Arg}) breezed a half-mile over the Golden Gate Tapeta in :47.60, which was the fastest of 14 works at that distance yesterday. Piloted by jockey Ricardo Gonzalez, the dark bay galloped out five panels in 1:01 flat. 

Last seen defeating the likes of Game On Dude (Awesome Again) in the GI Pacific Classic Aug. 24, Shared Belief is scheduled to contest the GI Awesome Again S. at Santa Anita Saturday. The Awesome Again is a “Win and You’re In” event granting the winner automatic berth into the GI Breeders’ Cup Classic. 

“He galloped out strong,” trainer and part owner Jerry Hollendorfer remarked. “It was a very nice work. He’ll ship to Santa Anita [Wednesday].” 

Hollendorfer added, “The track was a little faster [Tuesday], so he went a little faster.”
