Alterite Added to Arqana December

Last year’s GI Garden City S. heroine Alterite (Fr) (Literato {Fr}–Ana Luna {GB}, by Dream Well {Fr}) has been added to the Arqana December Breeding Stock Sale scheduled for Dec. 6-9 at Deauville, France. The Martin Schwartz-owned bay was a listed winner and Group 1 placed in the Prix Marcel Boussac-Criterium Des Pouliches for her breeder Ecurie la Vallee Martigny and added another listed score the previous March and an additional Group 1 placing in the Prix Saint-Alary for Schwartz last May. Trained by Chad Brown in the United States, Alterite finished second in Keeneland’s GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup S. in October 2013 after her Garden City score and was third in the Nov. 2 GI Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Santa Anita. Her record stands at 15-4-3-2 and $802,297 in earnings. From the first crop of Literato (Fr) (Kendor {Fr}), Alterite was the first foal out of Ana Luna (GB) and her third dam has produced French GSW Celimene (Ire) (Dr Fong) and SW Lunaska (Fr).
