Hanagan Reaches Century-Mark

Jockey Paul Hanagan shot past the 100-winner mark for the calendar year with a treble at Leicester yesterday. The dual-champion jockey was pleased to reach the landmark after enjoying his best season in terms of prize-money thanks to big victories at the highest level on Taghrooda (GB) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) in the Oaks and King George, and Mukhadram (GB) (Shamardal) in the Coral-Eclipse for his boss, Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum. And it was for the latter that he took his tally to 101 when completing his threesome on Rewaaya (Ire) (Authorized {Ire}) in the inaugural running of the Sir Gordon Richards H. at the East Midlands track. Hanagan reached the century on Gabrial (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) who put his best foot forward in the SIS H. Earlier in the card, Hanagan had taken division two of the Haymarket Nursery H. on Miss Van Gogh (GB) (Dutch Art (GB)) also for former boss Fahey.
