GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies heroine Take Charge Brandi (Giant’s Causeway) worked a half-mile in :51 flat at Oaklawn Park yesterday morning in preparation for a start in Oaklawn’s Martha Washington S. Jan. 31. The  “TDN Rising Star” annexed the GIII Delta Princess Nov. 22 and GI Starlet S. Dec. 13 following her Breeders’ Cup victory. Take Charge Brandi was originally being pointing towards the GIII Honeybee S. Mar. 7, but Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas stated that a sooner date would suit the filly. “I think the mile is a logical choice,” Lukas said of the Martha Washington S. “She’s so sharp I can’t hardly do anything with her. She’s just tearing the barn down, so I might as well run her.”
