Frankel’s Dam to Kingman
Khalid Abdullah’s Kind (Ire) (Danehill), the dam of undefeated champion Frankel (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) as well as champion Noble Mission (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) and stakes winners Bullet Train (GB) (Sadler’s Wells) and Joyeuse (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), will be bred to Kingman (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) this year, according to Racing Post.
Like Kind and all her progeny, Kingman was bred and raced by Khalid Abdullah and voted last year’s Cartier Horse of the Year after winning four Group 1s: the Irish 2000 Guineas, St James’s Palace S., Sussex S. and Prix Jacques le Marois. Kingman stands his first season at Juddmonte’s Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket this year for £55,000.
Kingman’s first book is shaping up to be stellar. It was previously announced he would cover last year’s G1 Epsom Oaks and G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II S. victress Taghrooda (GB) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), and other Group 1 winners or producers booked include Winter Sunrise (GB), Emulous (GB), Etoile Montante, Passage of Time (GB), Promising Lead (GB) and Proportional (GB).
