A good-looking winner again in the 4 1/2-panel West Virginia Triple Crown Nutrition Breeders' Classic Oct. 18, the bay scored again when extended to a mile in a Churchill Downs optional claimer Nov. 29 and won the state-bred Eleanor Casey Memorial S. back at Charles Town last time Dec. 20.
California invader Sharla Rae (Afleet Alex) gets the morning-line nod here for trainer Doug O'Neill. The W C Racing runner won the Pike Place Dancer S. at Golden Gate Oct. 25 and was a non-factor ninth next time in the GIII Delta Downs Princess S. Nov. 22. Switched to the turf for Santa Anita's Blue Norther S. Jan. 1, the bay earned a neck victory back on the Golden Gate synthetic in the California Oaks Feb. 7.
G Watts Humphrey Jr. colorbearer Sweet Success (Candy Ride {Arg}) finished fifth on debut at sprinting at Churchill Downs Nov. 16, and improved to second behind GII Forward Gal S. runner-up Lassofthemohicans (Indian Charlie) next out going a mile at Gulfstream Dec. 28. The George Arnold pupil engaged in a prolonged battle to earn a gritty neck victory last time going six panels at Gulfstream Feb. 8.
Pin Oak Stable homebred Don't Leave Me (Lemon Drop Kid) won her off-the-turf unveiling at Woodbine Aug. 2 for trainer Malcolm Pierce. The gray scored again next out in a grassy optional claimer there Aug. 22 and was sixth last time in that venue's GII Natalma S. going a mile on the turf Sept. 13.
