TOBA & Fasig-Tipton to Offer Owners Concierge Service

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders’ Association and Fasig-Tipton have joined forces to offer Thoroughbred owners a new concierge service.

The TOBA Owners Concierge will serve as a liason between horse owners and participating racetracks and will facilitate relations with the extended racing community. It will also provide information on its websites:www.ownersconnection.horse and www.ownerview.com.

“Through the work of a committee of our board of trustees, we recognized a pressing need for providing a national concierge service to accommodate owners and breeders when they travel to the racetrack,” said Dan Metzger, president of TOBA. “We will work closely with the horsemen’s liaison at each racetrack to deliver an experience commensurate with being a Thoroughbred owner. This will allow any owner or breeder to contact our concierge service to help them facilitate their requests. We are excited about the racetracks which have signed up for the concierge service and look forward to welcoming other tracks to participate as well.”

Currently, the participating racetracks include Aqueduct, Arlington Park, Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, Fair Grounds, Golden Gate Fields, Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park, Monmouth Park, Oaklawn Park, Pimlico, Santa Anita, Saratoga Tampa Bay Downs and Woodbine.

“Enhancing customer service and the experience for owners is crucial to the long term success of the Thoroughbred industry,” said Boyd Browning, president and chief executive officer of Fasig-Tipton. “We look forward to working with TOBA on this important new initiative.”

Christina Bossinakis has been named the Thoroughbred Owner Services Director for TOBA. Bossinakis has served as an on-air host and handicapper for both Gulfstream and Monmouth Park since 2013, and spent 14 years as a writer/editor for the Thoroughbred Daily News.

“I really think it’s going to be great,” said Tim Ritvo, chief operating officer of the Stronach Group. “This program will be perfect because it will drive customer service to the tracks for those who want to experience the game. We need to grow the game organically and this is what I believe this initiative will do. I think they chose the perfect person to head this new service. We’re thrilled to be part of it.”

A board of directors has been appointed to oversee the TOBA Owners Concierge, including Metzger, Browning, Fasig-Tipton client development and public relations manager Anna Seitz, Glen Hill Farm president Craig Bernick, Starlight Racing’s Jack Wolf and Bethlehem Stables’s Mike Caruso.
