Group 1 Winner Marianafoot To Stand At Haras De Saint-Vincent

Group 1 winner Marianafoot (Fr) (Footstepsinthesand {GB}–Marianabaa {Fr}, by Anabaa) will stand at Haras de Saint-Vincent in 2023, Jour de Galop reported on Wednesday evening. A fee will be announced later for the 15-time winner.
Bred and raced by Jean-Claude Seroul and trained by Jerome Reynier, the 7-year-old enjoyed his finest season at the track in 2021, taking the G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest, as well as the G3 Prix du Palais-Royal and G3 Prix de la Porte Maillot. This term, his final two starts were runner-up performances in the Palais-Royal and Porte Maillot in May and June, respectively. He retires with a mark of 27-15-4-2 and $797,400 in earnings.
Marianafoot will be supported by Seroul, and Guy Pariente. Haras de Saint-Vincent's Thierry Dalla Longa told JDG, “We will also do the maximum to give him every chance at the farm. He's a horse with a lot of speed, who was a performer since he was a 2-year-old and continued to compete at the Group 3 level as a 7-year-old. Marianafoot comes from a very active maternal family. To introduce such a horse at our farm, it's an honor.”
Out of the winning Marianabaa herself a half-sister to listed winner Mariafoot (Fr) (Footstepsinthesand {GB}), Marianafoot is a half-brother to the stakes winner Padron (Ire) (Gris De Gris {Ire}), who was group placed in Germany; and dual French listed winner Marianachic (Ire) (Authorized {Ire}). Second dam Maria Gabriella (Ire) (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}) won the Listed Prix des Lilas and was second in the G3 Prix Chloe.
