PATRICIA BOSICA
Dear Dean:
Read your article about “sideshows” displacing the focus on the race and I completely agree. Well said! When I watched the Derby (do I have to say “presented by Yum!”, hate that) and the Preakness swim meet, I absolutely cringed when they showed movie stars, asked “who are you wearing,” whatever, blah, blah, to fill up air time. Who cares? Why not show more about HORSES? Show what it takes to train a race horse, life on the backside, excercise riders, the skill and guts the jockeys need every ride. Let the public see the complete picture of racing to fully illustrate how tough it is, how much dedication it takes to get a horse to race and win. Preaching to the choir, right?
Just my two cents, Dean. Thank you to you and your company for great articles.
Sincerely,
Patricia Bosica
