JRHA Catalogue To Be Released Friday

The Japan Racing Horse Association has catalogued 244 yearlings and 241 foals for its Select Sale July 13 and 14. The catalogue will be posted on the JRHA’s website May 29, and printed catalogues will be posted June 5. The catalogue features a selection of foals and yearlings by leading sires Heart’s Cry (Jpn), Symboli Kris S (Jpn) and Deep Impact (Jpn), and first-crop sires represented at the foal sale will include Orfevre (Jpn), Lord Kanaloa (Jpn) and Novellist (Ire).

Standouts on paper of the yearling session will include Lot 9, a Stay Gold (Jpn) colt out of Grade I winner Wickedly Perfect (Congrats); Lot 50, a Deep Impact colt out of three-time Group 1 winner Lush Lashes (GB) (Galileo {Ire}); Lot 71, a colt by Deep Impact out of European champion Sarafina (Fr) (Refuse to Bend {Ire}); Lot 87, a Deep Impact colt out of Grade I-winning sprinter Hilda’s Passion (Canadian Frontier); Lot 91, a Deep Impact colt out of dual Grade I winner Contested (Ghostzapper); Lot 97, a Mineshaft half-brother to Palace Malice (Curlin); Lot 108, a Tapit colt out of dual Grade I winner Champagne d’Oro (Medaglia d’Oro); and Lot 110, a Daiwa Major (Jpn) colt out of GI Apple Blossom winner Ermine (Exchange Rate).

Foals with notable pedigrees include Lot 316, a Deep Impact colt out of GI Spinaway S. winner So Many Ways (Sightseeing); Lot 371, a Deep Impact filly out of multiple Grade I winner Weemissfrankie (Sunriver); Lot 384, an Orfevre half-sister to G1 NHK Mile Cup winner Taiki Clarity (Jpn) (Special Week {Jpn}); Lot 398, a Lord Kanaloa half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Grand Prix Boss (Jpn) (Sakura Bakushin O {Jpn}); Lot 447, an Orfevre colt out of multiple Grade I winner Spoken Fur (Notebook); and Lot 455, a Deep Impact colt out of multiple Grade I winner Island Fashion (Petionville).
