Trainer Andre Fabre has confirmed that his leading 3-year-old Territories (Ire) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) will tackle his elders for the first time in the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville Aug. 16. Runner-up to Gleneagles (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in the G1 2000 Guineas at Newmarket May 2, the Godolphin colorbearer beat Dutch Connection (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}) in the G1 Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly July 12. Fabre is hoping the rain stays away in the days leading up to the race.

“Territories is doing well and hopefully we are going for the Marois. He is a good-ground horse. It will be a tough race–they are all good horses. I don't know if Gleneagles is coming. We will see.”
