The New York Racing Association has capped the paid attendance for GI Travers S. Day Aug. 29, which includes six Grade I events, at 50,000. All Travers Day reserved seating, dining and clubhouse admission is already sold out, but grandstand general admission is available for $10 and can be purchased here.

“With the blockbuster card built for this year, we anticipate interest in attending the Mid-Summer Derby to be at an all-time high, and all tickets to be sold out in advance of Travers Day,” said NYRA Chief Executive Officer and President Chris Kay. “Similar to what we successfully implemented for the 2015 Belmont Stakes and to further ensure an enjoyable experience for our horseplayers and fans, we will cap paid attendance at 50,000 for Travers Day at Saratoga Race Course.”

The Travers Day card includes the GI Personal Ensign S., GI Ballerina S., GI Sword Dancer S., GI Forego S., GI King’s Bishop S. and GII Ballston Spa S.

Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance. Gates will open at 7:00 a.m. on Travers day with the first race set to go off at 11:35 a.m. Anyone planning to attend can review a list of prohibited items here.
