For the second time this season Covert Love (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}) has been supplemented to a Group 1 race as she appears on the list of sixteen potential runners for next Thursday’s G1 Yorkshire Oaks at York. Connections were in a good position to pay the £35,000 supplementary fee having bagged almost £180,000 for her victory in the G1 Irish Oaks at The Curragh last month and Hugo Palmer’s 3-year-old could also renew Curragh rivalry with those directly behind her that day, with Jessica Harrington’s Jack Naylor (GB) (Champs Elysees {GB}) and David Wachman’s Curvy (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), also featuring among the potential runners. Proven Group 1 winners Pleascach (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) and Madame Chiang (GB) (Archipenko) add further strength in depth to the field. Ballydoyle could be represented by a pair of fillies with Aidan O’Brien mentioning Outstanding (Ire), an own sister to GI Breeders’ Cup winner Magician (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and third in the GI Belmont Oaks as ‘a probable’ for the Yorkshire Oaks, while recent stakes winner Easter (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) could also be in the mix.
