Dubawi Colt Causes Fireworks at Arqana

The million-euro barrier was breached for the first time at the Arqana August yearling sale early in the second session Sunday when John Ferguson went to €2.6 million for lot 119, a striking son of Dubawi (Ire). The bay is the first foal out of Pacifique (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}), a half-sister to the dam of G1 Irish Oaks victress Chicquita (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}). The colt was consigned by Ecurie des Monceaux.
