Al Shaqab Racing’s dual G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Treve (Fr) (Motivator {GB}) is reported to be ‘in great form’ by that operation’s Racing Advisor Harry Herbert as she gears up for an attempt at a third Arc.

The 5-year-old mare is two-for-two this year, having won the G2 Prix Corrida May 29 and G1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud June 28, after which she enjoyed a short holiday. Treve is now back in full training, her target being the G1 Prix Vermeille Sept. 13, which she won in 2013 and finished fourth in last year.

“Treve is in great form,” said Herbert. “She did her first piece of easy work back yesterday and both [trainer] Criquette [Head-Maarek] and [jockey] Thierry Jarnet were delighted with her. Her work will be stepped up now for her next target, which is the Vermeille next month, then it will be on to try to win Arc number three.”
