No Pressure
On The Curragh card that her stable companion Coolmore (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) starts out, Ballydoyle (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) looks to justify an ambitious naming policy in Saturday’s G2 Breast Cancer Research Debutante S. Runner-up in the Listed Chesham S. at Royal Ascot June 20 before putting the subsequent winner Nemoralia (More Than Ready) in her place in a maiden at Newmarket July 11, Joseph O’Brien has picked the bay, who bids to go one better than her full-sister Misty For Me (Ire), who was second in this five years ago. Also from the stable is Alice Springs (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who was second to the potentially high-class Aga Khan filly Tanaza (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) in Leopardstown’s G3 Silver Flash S. over this trip last time July 23, and Minding (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). Out of the 2009 Debutante winner Lillie Langtry (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), she was also second to Tanaza on her seven-furlong debut at Leopardstown June 11 before dropping to six to open her account by 5 1/2 lengths a fortnight later. “Minding had a little break after that and is just ready to run,” commented Aidan O’Brien, who is looking for a 10th renewal. “She’s a nice filly and probably will come forward for the run. We were delighted with Ballydoyle at Newmarket and she seems to have come out of that well.”
Stiff opposition comes from Ronan O’Gara and Paul Shanahan’s Most Beautiful (Ire) (Canford Cliffs {Ire}), who beat Only Mine (Ire) (Pour Moi {Ire}) in the six-furlong G3 Grangecon Stud S. last time June 28, and a pair of Jim Bolger representatives headed by the Silver Flash third Turret Rocks (Ire) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}).
