wire-to-wire winner of a state-bred maiden event over this same 5 1/2 furlong trip Aug. 2, the gray was tabbed as the even-money favorite in this scratch-reduced field of four. The entrants were strung across the track four deep in the early stages and Too Discreet was forced to take back after finding himself in a tight spot through a quarter-mile in :22.14.
