Sent off at 7-1, the newcomer broke well to race in a pocket behind the leaders on the far side before being angled out and coaxed into contention from the three- to the two-furlong pole. Seizing the lead with 1 1/2 furlongs remaining, the chestnut strode clear and was relentless to the line, where he held an impressive 6 1/2-length verdict over Indrahar (Ire) (Raven's Pass).
