Step By Step For Intilaaq

Intilaaq (Dynaformer) looked like a horse going places last time out when slamming his rivals in the G3 Rose Of Lancaster S. at Haydock Aug. 8, having previously beaten the now Hong Kong resident Consort (Ire) (Lope De Vega {Ire}) in a Listed race at Newbury. His trainer Roger Varian, who previously quoted, “next year he will be very exciting,” is keen to stay relatively low key with the Hamdan Al Maktoum owned colt for at least another run before pitching him in at the top level. The G3 Legacy Cup at Newbury Sept. 19 is the preferred target with the G1 Champion S. to follow assuming he passes his next test well. Outlining plans, Angus Gold, racing manager to Hamdan Al Maktoum said, “Intilaaq is going to go to Newbury for the race known as the G3 Legacy Cup. Depending on how he goes there will dictate whether we are still looking at a race like the G1 Champion S. Hopefully we’ll find out if he is still on the upward curve it looked like he was on at Haydock.”
