I’m a Chatterbox (Munnings) has been given the nod as the 3-1 morning-line favorite in a loaded renewal of the GI Cotillion S. at Parx Saturday. Disqualified from first and placed second in Saratoga’s GI Coaching Club American Oaks July 26, the GII Fair Grounds Oaks heroine finished 1 1/4 lengths adrift the front-running Embellish the Lace (Super Saver) in the GI Alabama S. last time Aug. 22. The Fletcher and Carolyn Gray homebred was also a rallying third in the GI Kentucky Oaks.

Embellish the Lace, a double-digit length maiden winner over this course last December, fired a five-furlong warning shot in 1:00 (1/18) at Tony Dutrow’s Fair Hill base Sept. 12. She was previously ninth after dueling through a scorching pace in the GI Mother Goose S. at Belmont June 27.

‘TDN Rising Star’ Tara’s Tango (Unbridled’s Song) invades from the West Coast for Hall of Famer Jerry Hollendorfer. After a trio of runner-up efforts–including a nose defeat to the classy Stellar Wind (Curlin) in the GII Summertime Oaks at Santa Anita June 20–the gray tuned up for this with a win in a one-mile optional claimer at Del Mar Aug. 5.

Champion Take Charge Brandi (Giant’s Causeway), upset winner of last year’s GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, figures to be involved with what has to be a very lively early pace here. The ‘TDN Rising Star’ tired badly to finish last of 10 in her comebacker in the GI Test S. at the Spa Aug. 8. Take Charge Brandi held on by a head in her only other start this season in Oaklawn’s Martha Washington S. Jan. 31.

Peace and War (War Front), winless in four attempts since her 23-1 upset in last October’s GI Darley Alcibiades S. at Keeneland, rallied to finish second behind Calamity Kate (Yes It’s True) in the GIII Delaware Oaks last time July 11.
