Shared Belief (Candy Ride {Arg}), sidelined since suffering a non-displaced hip fracture in the GII Charles Town Classic Apr. 18, has resumed training. The five-time Grade I winner and 2013 champion 2-year-old is aiming for a return during Santa Anita’s winter meeting.

“He’s jogging at the Pegasus Training and Rehabilitation Center in Redmond, Washington, near Seattle,” said Dan Ward, assistant to Hall of Fame trainer Jerry Hollendorfer. “He’s finished with the AquaTred and swimming. From there, I believe he would return to train at Golden Gate, because he’s been training on a synthetic surface [Polytrack] at Pegasus, and Golden Gate also has a synthetic [Tapeta] surface.”

He concluded, “If all goes well, we hope to be ready for the Big Meet at Santa Anita.”
