How High?
With Ryan Moore now back in the hotseat again, it is significant that he opts to ride How High the Moon (Ire) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) rather than her Listed Flame of Tara S. conqueror Kind of Magic (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) in Sunday’s G3 C L & M F Weld Park S. at The Curragh. Beaten a half-length by her stable companion in that Aug. 30 course-and-distance contest, Roisin Henry and Susan Magnier’s How High the Moon may not give that rival as much rope this time. Also in attendance from Aidan O’Brien’s stable is Coolmore (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who was second to the re-opposing Anamba (GB) (Shamardal) in a Leopardstown maiden Sept. 12 and the winner’s trainer, Mick Halford, is hopeful she can confirm that form. “We’ve been happy with her all week and the ground is drying out, so we’ve decided to let her take her chance,” he commented. “I’d like the ground to dry out again before Sunday. There’s a very strong bunch of 2-year-old fillies in Ireland this year, but she’s earned her place and I’m hoping she’ll run a good race.”
