Musawaah broke on the lead and settled in a stalking second after the initial exchanges of this unveiling. Looming large off the home turn, the well-backed 37-5 chance led passing the quarter-mile marker and ran on powerfully under whipless cajoling to account for the tenderly handled Terre (Fr), a full-sister to MG1SW dual Arc heroine Treve (Fr), by 2 1/2 lengths. “I think she is an improving filly and I think she'll be a nice filly next year,” said trainer Freddy Head of the winner. “I think we could run her in a [Classic] trial, maybe not a Guineas trial as I might want to go over a bit longer distance, but we'll see. There were some good noises about some of the fillies in the race today.” Trainer Criquette Head-Maarek said of Terre, “She was very green. [Jockey Thierry] Jarnet said she was looking at everything through the race and that is what she is like in the morning, but she ran well. When he gave her a slap, she went straight and did well to finish second. You never know what you're up against first time out, but I think Freddy liked his filly and Carlos [Laffon-Parias] likes the filly that was third. She was not blowing afterwards, she was fine, so I might give her one more run this year.” She added, “To be Treve would be difficult, but when she knows what she needs to know, she could be a nice filly.” The winner, the 11th for her leading U.S. first-season sire, is a granddaughter of GI La Brea S. victress Magical Allure (General Meeting), who is also the granddam of G1 Asahi Hai Futurity S.-winning Japanese champion juvenile colt Danon Platina (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}), from a family which includes G1 Arima Kinen Grand Prix-winning sire Matsurida Gogh (Jpn) (Sunday Silence) and GI Coaching Club American Oaks heroine High Schemes (High Echelon). She is the second winner produced by Mudreqah (Seeking the Gold), who visited Hard Spun this year. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €13,500.
