Extreme Choice Colt Equals Magic Millions National Yearling Sale Record

Lot 1282, the Extreme Choice colt out of Samarmeteors | Magic Millions

Newgate Farm's super sire Extreme Choice lit up the sales ring on Day 1 of the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast, with lot 1282, a striking chestnut colt from the draft of Baramul Stud, selling to Yulong Investments for A$850,000–equalling the record for this sale, the same price as was achieved in 2019.

“He's a lovely colt and I know the team love the stallion and have already had great success through the exploits of their Magic Millions purchase Devil Night,” said Magic Millions' China representative Amy Feng, who struck the winning bid for Yulong via telephone, seeing off some fierce competiton for the half-brother to the multiple Group winner and new Aquis Farm stallion Prost.

“The opportunities don't come that often to buy a top colt by Extreme Choice. He was a standout on type and pedigree and I know Yulong will be excited to race him in their colours.”
