Judy the Beauty Retires

Owner-Trainer Wesley Ward announced Judy the Beauty (Ghostzapper–Holy Blitz, by Holy Bull)’s retirement Sunday. The six-year-old was fifth when defending her title in the GI Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint Saturday. The multiple Grade I winner retires with a lifetime record of 22-9-8-3, with $1,795,922 in earnings. Ward said he hopes to breed the chestnut to Triple Crown hero and GI Breeders’ Cup Classic winner American Pharoah (Pioneerof the Nile).
