Seta (GB) (Pivotal {GB}), a three-time listed winner and third in the G2 May Hill S. while carrying the Leigh family silks, became the first to reach seven figures Tuesday at Tattersalls, selling to Hugo Lascelles, agent, for 1.1 million guineas. Consigned by the Cumanis' Fittocks Stud as agent for the dispersal of breeding stock from the late Sarah Leigh, Seta, catalogued as hip 1965, is one of nine winners from as many to race out of Bombazine (Ire) (Generous {Ire}), and a half-sister to GI Breeders' Cup Mile winner Barathea (Ire) and champion Gossamer (GB). Seta was bred to Oasis Dream (GB) earlier this term, but was believed to be not in foal. The mare's son of that Juddmonte sire was hammered down for 420,000gns at this year's Tattersalls October Book 1 sale.
