Hanky Panky (Ire) (m, 5, Galileo {Ire}–Mariah's Storm, by Storm Cat) was expected to be the star attraction on day two of the Tattersalls December Mares sale and the 5-year-old half-sister to Giant's Causeway from one of the most active and productive families in the entire world did not disappoint. After a protracted round of bidding, John Ferguson emerged victorious on a final bid of 2.7 million guineas. Bred by Pacelco and offered by Highclere Stud as hip 2011, Hanky Panky was a maiden winner and third in the 2013 G3 Ballyogan S. and was bred to Declaration of War (War Front) in her first year at stud, producing a filly earlier this season. Only adding to her appeal was the fact that she was bred to Dubawi (Ire) on an Apr. 8 cover date. In addition to the hugely successful Giant's Causeway, Hanky Panky is also kin to his full-sister You'resothrilling, whose son Gleneagles (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) won this year's G1 Irish 2000 Guineas followed by the G1 St James's Palace S. at Royal Ascot. Another half-sister, Love Me Only (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), is the dam of G2 Great Voltigeur S. hero and multiple Derby-placed Storm the Stars (Sea the Stars {Ire}).
