Making Waves: Kingman Colt Finds The Winner's Circle For Cheyenne Stable

Kingman Colt Reigns In New York

Firster King's Remark closed to win a Belmont at the Big A affair on April 30 (video) for Cheyenne Stable and Miguel Clement.

Clearwater Stud bred the son of Kingman out of Parle Moi (Montjeu). The 300,000gns Tattersalls October graduate was selected by Mike Ryan and is a full-brother to multiple graded winner Public Sector. Parle Moi's latest foal is a yearling colt by Night Of Thunder.

Standing for £125,000 this season, Juddmonte's Kingman is responsible for 52 winners from 97 runners in the U.S. (54%). His nine stakes winners are anchored by seven graded winners, chief among them triple Grade I hero Domestic Spending.

Melismatic Shines At Santa Anita

Wells Watson's Melismatic (Space Blues) graduated in his second American start at Santa Anita on May 2 (video). Bred by Norwegian Wood Stud, she is trained by Phil D'Amato.

The third foal out of Faradays Law (Lawman), the three-year-old colt is the second winner for his dam, who also has colts by Blue Point and New Bay foaled in 2024 and 2025. Purchased by Cary Bloodstock, agent for Watson, for €160,000 out of the Goffs Orby Yearling Sale Book 1 in 2024, Melismatic was originally trained by Joseph O'Brien. G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine and GI E.P. Taylor Stakes heroine Just The Judge is a full-sister to Faradays Law.

Darley's Space Blues, priced at €15,000 in 2026, is now the sire of two winners from two runners in the U.S. His Vasy won the Listed Colonel Liam Stakes at Gulfstream Park and was third in Keeneland's GIII Transylvania Stakes.

Repeat Winners

Hitting a new career high in the GIII Sheepshead Bay Stakes during the Belmont at the Big A meeting on May 1 (video), No Show Sammy Jo (Lope De Vega) is raced by Newstead Stables and trained by Graham Motion.

Cheyenne Stable's Mondego (Lope De Vega) returned a winner in the GII Charles Whittingham Stakes at Santa Anita on May 2 (video). Trained by Michael McCarthy, the six-year-old gelding was third in the GI Belmont Derby Invitational Stakes in 2023.

City Girl (City Light), who races for Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb and Michael Kisber, won the GIII Beaugay Stakes at Belmont at the Big A's meeting on May 3 (video). She is trained by Chad Brown.
