Seven 3-year-old males have assembled to contest the annual renewal of the GIII Penn Mile Stakes over the turf on Friday evening.

Look for D J Stable's MSW Alpyland (Vekoma) to garner quite a bit of interest by the betting public.

Starting back in January, the gelding captured a pair of black-type wins when he took home the hardware in the Dania Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park and in the Columbia Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs. The Mark Casse trainee finished fourth in the GI American Turf Stakes on the Derby undercard.

Also coming out of that race at Churchill Downs is the incredibly consistent Honey Dutch (Knicks Go). Trained by Whit Beckman the gray has hit the board in his last six attempts. The colt was the runner-up in the GIII Transylvania Stakes and third in the American Turf.

Heading to the post is Teddy's Rocket (Liam's Map). A winner on debut last summer at the Spa, the lightly raced bay for trainer Miguel Clement finished fourth in the Woodhaven Stakes at Aqueduct Apr. 25. Brendan Walsh trainee Immortalised (Fr) (Romanised {Ire}) has three wins in a row to his credit with the last coming in the Cutler Bay Stakes at Gulfstream Park Mar. 28.

The rest of the field includes Bonsai Warrior (Yaupon), Baytown Dreamer (Mendelssohn) and Classic Nofty (Classic Empire).
