Increase For Tatts Ireland Stakes Purse

Tatts Ireland graduates will have the chance to race for €300,000 | Tattersalls Ireland

The purse of the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales S., set for Sept. 11 at The Curragh this year as part of Irish Champions Weekend, has been increased €50,000 to €300,000. All graduates of the 2015 Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale and September Yearling Sale Part II are eligible for the six-furlong race, and must be entered by Jan. 27. The entry fee of €2,000 is unchanged.

We are delighted to be in a position to further increase the prize fund for the Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction S. to €300,000,” said Tattersalls Ireland Managing Director Roger Casey. “The race will continue to be a part of Longines Irish Champions Weekend, and last year saw 27 horses go to post.”

I would also like to express our sincere appreciation to HRI for their continued support,” Casey continued. “The added purse will further entice owners and trainers to target the €300,000 Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale S. with their yearlings from the September Yearling Sale.”
