CONQUEST WINDYCITY (c, 3, Tiznow–Lasting Appeal, by A.P. Indy), a $320,000 Fasig-Tipton October yearling purchase by Rick Porter's Pegasus Bridge turned $800,000 OBS March 2-year-old (click for story), checked in second in his grassy debut at the Spa Aug. 8, and ran on from far back after early trouble to be fourth in the GIII Iroquois S. at Churchill Sept. 12. Off since breaking his maiden in the Keeneland slop Oct. 2, the dark bay broke a bit inward before taking back to draft behind the leaders early. Clearly full of run as he called out for room into the lane, the 4-1 shot got out and kicked on to reel in Iroquois runner-up Rated R Superstar (Kodiak Kowboy) and report home 1 3/4 lengths to the good. An objection was lodged by the rider of the runner-up against the winner for interference at the start, but it was disallowed. Conquest Windycity's dam is a full-sister to GSW and sire Jump Start. She produced a Smart Strike colt in 2014 and a Tiznow colt in 2015. Lifetime Record: 4-2-1-0, $99,250. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
