There have been a few adjustments in the Arqana team following their former managing director Olivier Delloye's departure to France Galop. Eric Hoyeau will continue to assume the role of President of Arqana, where he will be supported by four executive divisions – Bloodstock, Marketing & Development, Finance and Sales Organisation. The bloodstock team will now be headed by Freddy Powell, who will return to Deauville having spent several years in Newmarket developing the Arqana brand throughout Britain and Ireland. Powell, whose brother Leonard trains at Santa Anita, will continue to make frequent trips back to that region and be the primary point of contact for all British and Irish clients of Arqana. Within this team, Ludovic Cornuel will be more specifically in charge of technological innovation, as well as developing Arqana's business with the Japanese and Australian markets. Long standing director of sales Bernard Salvat will remain on the bloodstock team, with a particular focus on the Italian, German, Scandinavia, South African and Indian markets until the end of 2017. In the meantime he will begin training in his successor.
Commenting on the new structure Eric Hoyeau said; “This revamp of Arqana's organisational structure comes at a time when the company has reached a maturity stage, as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary. I am very confident in this new format, which is characterised by a broader distribution of responsibilities, enhancement of the talents that Arqana has cultivated in-house since its inception, and the effective or imminent recruitment of fresh, high quality resources. This young and enthusiastic team holds all the necessary assets to maintain Arqana's bold vision and capacity for innovation – the qualities that have enabled us to consistently raise the international profile of French stock and the French market over the past 10 years.”
