Coolmore first-season sires Gleneagles (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), Ivawood (Ire) (Zebedee {GB}) and Kingston Hill (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) have all had their first mares scanned in foal.
Confirmed mares in foal to dual Guineas winner Gleneagles include Crazy Volume (Ire) (Machiavellian {GB}), the dam of Group 1 winner Gallante (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}); Family (Danzig), a full-sister to Danehill and the dam of Dundonnell (First Defence); European champion and Group 1-winning sprinter Pipalong (Ire) (Pips Pride); and multiple Group 2 winner and Classic-placed Banimpire (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}).
Ivawood has had five of his first six mares scanned in foal, and Kingston Hill is four for four.
Successful sire Starspangledbanner (Aus), who returns to Coolmore this year from Australia, has also enjoyed a strong start with his first three mares scanned all being in foal. The world champion sprinter had been plagued with subfertility issues in the past.
