Irish National Stud stallion Free Eagle (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}) has his first three mares scanned in foal. The Group 1 winner is being supported by a quality book of mares in his first season at stud, including Blue Rhapsody (GB) (Cape Cross {Ire}), the dam of Western Hymn (GB) (High Chaparral {Ire}); Nitya (Fr) (Indian Ridge {GB}), a full sister to GI Breeders' Cup Mile winner Domedriver (Ire); and the stud's own Nebraas (GB) (Green Desert), dam of the stakes winners Yellow Rosebud (Ire) (Jeremy) and Seeharn (Ire) (Pivotal {GB}). Moyglare Stud-bred Free Eagle won last year's G1 Prince Of Wales's S. at Royal Ascot and stands for a fee of €20,000.
Irish National Stud CEO John Osborne is excited about his credentials as a stallion and commented, “Free Eagle has impressed since his racecourse debut and that is borne out by the number of people who have invested in him, it is a who's who of international breeders committed to supporting him in his new career.”
