Solow Fine After Gallop Scare

Solow | Racing Post

Wertheimer homebred Solow (GB) (Singspiel {Ire}), who is gearing up for a title defense of the G1 Dubai Turf at Meydan Mar. 26, gave connections a fright when knocking a leg during a workout Wednesday, but trainer Freddy Head later reported the 6-year-old gelding to be fine.

“He gave himself a knock on his leg working this morning, but he was OK afterwards,” said Head. “He's fine for Dubai.”

Solow looks to extend his win streak to 11 in the Dubai Turf. He has not lost since August of 2014, and last year took five Group 1s.
